Malandela’s Indigenous Nursery

eSwatini, Malkerns, 2022

rabble lab was commissioned by Malandela's Indigenous Nursery to design a new base for their point of sale and administrative office. This project emerged during the 'Cargo House' development, where we integrated a 6-meter container into the building structure. Inspired by this concept, our client desired a similar approach. The objective was to create a practical, open-plan space accommodating various functions typically found in a small nursery, including restroom facilities, a point of sale area, administrative office, and general garden stores.

We initiated the design with a central open area from which we branched out to incorporate the different functions, effectively breaking up the main space. A simple yet impactful concept was enhanced by playing with the roof pitch and its relation to the ground. Ultimately, we delivered a solution that left our client highly satisfied.
