Cargo House
eSwatini, Malkerns, 2022
Cargo House is a small detached residence situated among a group of buildings, fitting snugly into a small available space on the site. Its sleek modern design is a product of the limited space, originally inspired by a six-foot container that forms the foundation of the house. Collaborating with an engineer, we engineered the house to be supported by this container.
The upper floor is crafted from a timber frame and clad with sheet metal, creating a visually intriguing modern home with charming interiors. The 'A' frame architectural style, which we find compelling, is a dominant feature in our designs. We're currently developing more projects for clients using a similar approach.
